THE IMPERIUM STRIKES BACK – A WEEK AT WAR

The Imperium war machine rumbles, and Tribute is on fire. Reports of activity on the war front are coming in to the INN News Desk quickly with interesting stories happening every day. So much action has happened already, it’s hard to believe that this deployment is really only a week old. We’ll do a roundup of some of the news that has been covered here, as well as some smaller reports that have come in from the front lines.Read More

THE WAR IN THE NORTH: A HORDLING’S PERSPECTIVE

I was a member of both the capital fleet and the subcap fleet in the first battle of Hakonen this week. The ti-di was horrendous, and even though my dread alt was denied tasting blood, my battleship was far more involved. Horde’s head FC for both Tuesday and Thursday was Capri Sun SUPERFOODS on loan from Pandemic Legion. While I do genuinely enjoy the guy personally, he also happens to be a very competent FC. Horde’s subcap group formed up in their home system and had to make the trek all theRead More

INN: DEVBLOG – MOONMINING CHANGES

CCP released a devblog today, July 19, to give out more information about the moon mining changes coming this winter. The blog reiterates what we already know about the moon mining. Each moon can only have 1 refinery on it for extraction at any given time. The time from starting up the refinery to extraction being complete will be up to the initiator and can vary from one week to several weeks.  During this process, chunks of moon leave the surface and travel towards the structure. This is visible to observers.Read More

INN: TWITCH CCP Q&A: REACTION

THE STREAM: Today, CCP held a Twitch stream which was advertised as a “Q&A” stream. While there was very little interaction with the audience, which has probably left a majority of the audience coming away from the stream with a “what the hell did I just watch” attitude, it can be argued that today’s stream answered a lot of questions, and promises much more for the future. The real hero of the Q&A, however, turned out to be CCP Rise, who single-handedly fielded question after question in the chat afterRead More

INN: CCP TAKES ACTION ON GHOST TRAINING

On June 15, CCP announced that Ghost Training was an exploit, and people have been looking to CCP to take action against those involved. Over the last 10 days, CCP has been sending emails out to Ghost Farmers. Whether the individuals did it knowingly or unknowingly, CCP has been taking action. The action taken is not the usual negative wallet that we associate with CCP acting on ISK gained through exploits (although there was one player who claimed CCP had taken ISK). The players involved have been given a list of theRead More

INN: DEVPOST – T3 CRUISER CHANGES

We wrote recently about the upcoming T3 cruiser changes that were on Sisi.  CCP Fozzie has now released further information ahead of the July 11 release. In a devpost on the new forums, he outlined the changes as they stand for each ship, as well as introducing the industry changes.Read More

INN: A LOOK AT PROJECT DISCOVERY’S EXOPLANETS

SO WHAT IS PROJECT DISCOVERY? Project Discovery is moving forward and bringing a new ‘mini-game’ to New Eden. While the previous iteration of Project Discovery had players looking to the microscopic levels to analyze cells, the next phase will be looking up at the stars. The details of this next step are in the Exoplanets devblog and there is a mass test on the Singularity server scheduled for July 4. For those of you—like myself—who are impatient though, you can start trying things out on the test server now.Read More

INN: LET’S TALK ABOUT PLEX

Header Image courtesy of Elizabeth Norn. There have been a lot of discussions lately around the rising PLEX prices.  Since the Great PLEX Split of 2017 on May 9, the price for a month’s worth of PLEX has risen from 1.25b to 1.5b. Reasons put forward for this range from deliberate manipulation to shortage of supply, with skill farming and nullsec ratters also blamed at various points.Read More
